A handy one is "Camera>Previous" for when you get stuck in a wall, it takes you back to the previous camera extents.Bring 3D models to life on Android phones and tablets using SketchUp Viewer. Suggestions would be: learn to make use of scenes, even just for the editing process. You do have to be diligent about making a component unique if you want to alter one instance and not the others, and this is a mistake that can happen a lot starting out. The main reason I do this is to make use of the hotkeys, some of which are specific to components or groups. I personally use components for pretty much everything. If you need it smoothed out after that you could connect the rings with lines which will take a while, but there's probably a plugin that would do something similar. If you make an edit to one component it can auto update the rest of them. You can however use components instead, they are handy if you have multiples of the same object (electrical outlets for example). Groups are handy so you can move objects without having to select individual geometry, it's just best practice, everything should be grouped. dwg and it will import as actual geometry, much easier. Can I use Google Earth imagery and geography in SketchUp? The integrated terrain imagery looks at least a decade old. The local terrain has significant elevation changes that I'd like to take into account. I've only used SketchUp previously for very small projects, and I imagine a lot of practices that worked previously won't be best here. I'm slowly renovating my house, and as I do so I usually make a SketchUp model of the room before doing the work.
